Please be aware of a method of entering properties which has recently come to light in the Brighton and Hove area.
An offender has disclosed that entry can be gained to properties by pushing a smooth item such as a credit card between the door frame and the lock.
This can then force back a yale style lock and therefore open the door.
Please pass this information on and ask everyone to ensure that if they do have non-pvc doors and a yale lock in place that they double lock the door and use door chains where applicable.
